Information and Communications Technologies (ICT)

Kingston Primary is committed to the pursuit of excellence in learning and teaching through the integration of learning technologies into education programs. We ensure that high-quality programs and on-line materials are available and promoted. All students have access to computers as a regular part of their learning program. All students are explicitly taught the skills to research, organise, present and communicate information using modern ICT.

The school has a network of computers which have access to the internet, as well as a school-based intranet. Students have opportunities to use computers from Kindergarten to Grade 6.

Each classroom has computer access and the school has two dedicated computer labs.  These are based in the Library and the Grade 5/6 area. The school also has a set of tablets which each class has access to at least once per week.  The computer labs and the tablets enable teachers to have their whole class working on a learning sequence, internet, email of software programs.

All classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards.
